Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 February 2025
Wizzaid Labs Ltd (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is the data controller for the Wizzaid mobile application and related services (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information. It is designed to meet the requirements of the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable privacy laws. Please read it carefully.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide, information collected automatically, and—only with your permission—information from your device (e.g. health and location data). We do not sell your personal information.
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information (e.g. name, email, date of birth) when you register or use Sign in with Apple or other sign-in methods.
- Health and medical information you enter or upload (e.g. medical history, vitals, documents, notes). This is sensitive data and we process it only as necessary to provide the App and with your consent where required by law.
- Messages and content you send through the App (e.g. chat with healthcare providers or the in-app AI assistant).
- Payment and subscription information is processed by Apple, Google, or our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information (e.g. device type, OS version, unique identifiers) to operate and secure the App.
- Usage data (e.g. features used, session length) to improve the App and fix issues, in aggregate or anonymized where possible.
- Approximate or precise location only when you enable it, to show nearby healthcare facilities (e.g. clinics, labs, pharmacies).
1.3 Information From Your Device (With Your Permission)
- Health data (e.g. from Apple Health or Google Fit): steps, heart rate, sleep, and other data you choose to share, to provide health insights and sync with your profile. You can revoke access at any time in your device or App settings.
- Camera and photo library: to scan documents, add profile photos, or attach health-related images.
- Microphone: for voice-based features (e.g. voice chat with the AI assistant), only when you use those features.
- Location: to show nearby healthcare services when you enable this feature.
We access these categories only after you grant permission in the App or in your device settings. You may withdraw permissions at any time.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the App and our services.
- Personalize your experience and show relevant health insights and content.
- Process and manage your account, appointments, prescriptions, and subscriptions.
- Communicate with you (e.g. account, support, important updates).
- Send push notifications (e.g. reminders, alerts) if you enable them.
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
- Conduct analytics in aggregate or anonymized form to improve the App.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes in a way that identifies you without your consent.
3. Sharing of Information
We may share your information:
- With healthcare providers or services you choose to use through the App (e.g. when you book appointments or share records).
- With service providers that help us run the App (e.g. hosting, analytics, support), under strict confidentiality and data-processing agreements consistent with applicable law.
- When required by law (e.g. court order, government request) or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- With your consent or at your direction (e.g. when you share records or data with a doctor or family member).
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your health data with third parties for their marketing.
4. Data Retention and Security
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data; we will honour such requests subject to legal and operational requirements (e.g. retention for legal claims or regulatory compliance).
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data (e.g. encryption, access controls, secure APIs). No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and keep your device secure.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location (e.g. UK, EEA, California), you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability (receive a copy of your data in a structured format).
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. the ICO in the UK).
You can manage many choices in the App (e.g. health permissions, location, notifications) and via your device settings. To exercise your rights or for any privacy-related questions, use the contact details below.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under the age of 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.
7. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data from the UK or EEA to other countries, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g. UK adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other mechanisms approved by applicable law).
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes acceptance. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
